We are always interested in applications from bright and motivated researchers for PhD or Postdoc positions, especially if they have a particular interest in working on the retina and applying a combination of theory and experiment. There are a number of external funding opportunities that might be considered. Although there is currently no advertised position, feel free to check by email whether there may be opportunities to join the lab. But be sure to include a statement why you’d specifically like to join the group.
Opening for a PhD position!
A PhD position is currently available in the Gollisch Lab. The project will be on optogenetics in the retina towards vision restoration for the blind. It will involve multielectrode-array recordings from mice treated optogenetically and also include computational analysis of neural coding.
